Right Said Fred was too sexy for his shirt and no one batted an eyelid. Now, three men have been told that they are too sexy for a whole country and Saudi Arabia has evicted them.
Local newspapers have reported that the men were delegates from the United Arab Emirates and attending a cultural festival in Saudia Arabia when they were first spotted. Officers from the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice decided that the men would be too distracting for the women in attendance so did what any sane person would do when faced with a dilemma like this - promptly evicted them.
Internet Detectives came to the rescue straight away. In only a few days they discovered what an attractive man truly looked like - theu uncovered the identity of one of the men: Omar Borkan Al Gala. According to his Facebook page, he is a “fashion photographer, poet and actor” and since the eviction, Omar has gained a sizeable fanbase of voyeurs from all around the world.
The most baffling thing about the whole story is the amount of apologies he has got - not just from Saudia Arabia but all over the world. People from China have even asked for forgiveness. Omar seems very humble - almost as though he has dealt with this kind of treatment in the past. Is this a demographic that has been long been discrimated against: the illusive beautiful man? Perhaps, this is the answer to one of the Bible's mysteries - God cursed Cain with indescribable beauty. His attractiveness is the reason he was doomed to a 'fugitive' life.
Or maybe not ... but it is both a terrifying thought and a brilliant film idea.
